I like variety in my artwork. I work on several things at once, but once I've finished those, I move on to something different to keep myself interested. As I move along, things get gradually more abstracted. When you work in series like this the artworks can look quite different even though they are all mixed-media. This can make displaying them an interesting challenge.
One of the more realist ones I've worked on recently is Before the Light Fades. This is still mixed-media and is influenced by my many visits to the Essex coast.
This is one that will be on show at next week's Dunmow Art Group Spring Exhibition 16 - 17 March.
